Joe Hoskins
Guitar/Vocals/Songwriter
Joe Hoskins is a Kingsport Tennessee native with an extensive musical history. Growing up writing and performing original and classic country and rock with his brothers gave Joe a solid base to build from. Joe's appreciation of Blues, jazz and all things funky have contributed to his wide ranging lead breaks and soaring vocal style. Joe has fronted many bands and toured the southeastern United States extensively.
Mark Mervis
Bass/Guitar/Vocal/Writer
Growing up in North East Tennessee, Mark Mervis cut his teeth on bluegrass and folk music playing guitar and bass. Mark's love of "newgrass" led him to form "Wires and Wood" and along with his bandmates played many high-profile shows and opened shows for many nationally acclaimed artists. There was always a desire to broaden his musical boundaries. In 2011 Mark and Joe (Hoskins) started "Box Set". Box Set met critical acclaim with their first release "Dogs Eye View". In 2014 the band, facing health challenges, dissolved. Now with the introduction of Blue Mountain Saints, the dream is still alive!
